Kroger Community Rewards Program

Kroger customers can now link their Kroger Plus Card to Doulas Care so that a percentage of what they purchase is directly donated to our program.  Please see the attached PDF for directions and go to www.krogercommunityrewards.com to register your card today.

Landscaping with Todd’s Services Inc.

Todd’s Services, Inc. (TSI)  is the largest residential landscaper in Michigan and offers a Give Back to the Community Program to help non-proft organizations.  TSI specializes in landscaping, retaining walls, brick paving, hydro-seeding, sprinkler systems and outdoor structures.  If you hire TSI for a project this summer let them know you want them to donate to Doulas Care and 1% of the project total, up to $50, will be donated to Doulas Care!

Media Drive through Books by Chance

The media drive is an ongoing fundraiser. Drop your donation at the Doulas Care office - 2500 Packard, Suite 101 - during normal office hours anytime you’ve been hit with the de-cluttering bug.

In 2009, $1,200 was raised through the Books by Chance Program for  Doulas Care.  This year we are again collecting books, videos and DVDs which you are willing to donate to Doulas Care.  The books and materials can cover any topic and can be of any age.  The books will then be given to Books by Chance which provides an online searching system for books that are resold.  A portion of the proceeds from the sales is then provided to Doulas Care.  The portion of the proceeds depends on how long the materials take to sell.  For a faster turnaround, Doulas Care can receive as much as 90% of the profit.

As you sort and clean your home or office, please think of us and save those books, videos and DVDs.  We plan to target funds raised from this event for the resource library for the Doulas Care Volunteers.

General Information about making a Donation

The Doulas Care Organization funds its programs and services through generous volunteer support and donations from a variety of organizations and individual donors.  Less than 10% of our funds go to administrative services, leaving over 90% to support training, education and resources for our volunteer Doulas so they can support childbearing women and their families throughout Southeastern Michigan.

We have had the good fortune of living in a very generous community of individuals who have supported our program services through donations of their time and talent.  We always look forward to working with individuals who want to donate their talents, particularly in marketing, fundraising events, graphic design, grant development, writing, editing and education and training services for Doulas.  We can also use office administrative support and can train individuals on tasks and jobs of need.  If you would like to donate your time or services to Doulas Care, please email our offices at info@doulascare.org or call our offices and speak with Marylee at 734-332-8070.

• Sponsorship of a Doula Training for up to 15 Doulas  $2000
• Sponsorship of a Community Outreach Training Session $1000
• Sponsor a low income family for Birth Doulas Care Services  $350
• Scholarship for one individual to become a Post Partum Doula  $250
• Scholarship for one individual to become a Birth Doula  $200
• Birth Bag and resource books for a Doula  $125
• Resource Book package for a Doula   $100
• DONA Certification Sponsorship  $75
• Education resources for the Lending Library  $50
• Sponsorship for a Post Partum Doula for a low income Family per hour  $25
