Postpartum Doulas

Doulas Care Postpartum doulas provide support to families in the early weeks postpartum. Women may arrange this service before they give birth or following the birth of thier infant. Doulas Care postpartum doulas provide in-home services 1-2 times per week for up to 6 weeks after your baby is born (up to 3 months for multiples or other special situations). In these visits doulas provide:
- Breastfeeding support
- Newborn care
- Comfort measures and support for the mother’s physical recovery
- Shopping, errands, meal preparation
- Laundry, light cleaning, household organization (not housecleaning)
- Sibling adjustment support (not babysitting or nanny services)
- Depression screening and referrals
- Education on infant topics
- Community resources and referrals
